Going up to get some scouting in before elk season. Trying out my gear, breath some mountain air, put some miles on the ol' boots. Can't wait!

Let's hope it cools off some before Sept 1. It has been really dry and hot this summer (like everywhere else, evidently), but we are due for some cooler weather. I remember you were looking toward the Bighorns; is that where you are headed?

He is hunting down by me somewhere. I hope I can help him scout. I have the St Jude bow "Hope", and I hope to kill 2 antelope with her before Jim gets here.

IF youre coming through Cheyenne, you could have a hot meal waiting for you. Depending on the day I suppose. I'll be scouting myself next weekend fri-Sun near encampment. Tell me where youre headed, I'd love to meet you.

Just FYI, Battle Creek road is closed until the 24th. Maybe that won't matter to you though. I may be there to help Jim. Hope to see you if I make it.

Headed toward the battle mountain/creek area. 21, 15, 10 I believe. Have to break the map out agaun to be sure. No Pm recieved Shed.

It would be great if we could meet up with some of you guys. Plan on driving straight through and getting a room in Laramie Frirday evening, then going out early Sat a.m to scout. Which road exactly is closed? Is it the road that goes down into battle creek from the highway?

Should be there Friday afternoon/evening. We are leaving about 0300 Friday a.m. This is going to be a LONNNG week.
Been working out, eating right(for the most part)lugging my pack up and down hills when I can.
I weighed 172.4 today at the gym. I'm over 20lbs lighter than I was 3 years ago. Just no way to prepare for the altitude though beside a plastic bag over the head LOL!
Here's my set up. 56lb BW MAII with 645gr GT 5575s(Zwickey delta with steel insert, 100 grains of weight behind the shaft insert)
