I just started fishing (including fly fishing) in earnest from a kayak last summer. Lots of fun!

First off thanks for the heads up, been chasing them with a 50 cal. T/C Hawken flinter here in Pa. since the early 80's, definitely see a pattern here cause blackpowder, trad bows and flyfishing and tying are my 3 big vices along with my lab whose starting to figure out that you don't have to flush sheds and chasing bass outta my kayak. Will definately be on the other site and ya'll right about offhand would've had a better chance of saving my topknot with my recurve than my flinter. Thank you Rob, you guys do an awesome job!

Don't see much need for another black powder forum. There are plenty of established forums covering this topic. But to each their own. I am a very dedicated flintlock shooter though aside from traditional archery....

while there surely are a FEW good bp forums, the concept is for TRAD GANG members who wish to talk bp firearms to have their own TRAD GANG related BP GANG venue.

PLUS, the www.BPGang.com forum is unique in that its focus is on ALL black powder firearms of the 17th and 18th centuries. this means both muzzleloader and metallic cartridge firearms - from flintlock rifle and pistol to lever action rifle and revolver pistol, and everything else in between, as used for HUNTING and general shooting.

Dang! Another hobby! I've been looking at precussion cap/ flint lock muzzle loading firearms to shoot cap and ball with. I guess I just needed another money hole in addition to traditional archery, top shelf scotch, cigars, kids, knives, botany, gardening, butchering/sausage & jerky making... Does anyone else feel like they were born about 100-150yrs too late?

i've been in the trad ml game going on 55 years and i've surely learned a lot, with always more to learn. however, i do keep on top of the offerings and imho there are some good flint or percussion guns to be had for literally dirt cheap. drop into www.bpgang.com and at least just read ... we welcome all folks that are trad firearm minded and/or just curious. as with trad gang, bp gang is all about sharing, teaching, learning. not to mention, The Fun.
