I saw a 2 1/2 year old 8 point last night at 4:30, nose to the ground moving real slow, checking things out. The temps have dropped and deer movement has picked up.

Jumped a deer that was on my trail on the way in, then had 2 bucks less than 50 in the Tag Alders Grunting and such, couldn't get a real good look at them and they both moved off separate ways.

Well, a nice adult doe got too close to me (about seven yards) tonight, while hiding out in my ghillie suit. Good thing it got chilly, she is hanging out back, to be boned out in the morning.

Thanks. I used an osage self bow i built this fall. Kinda neat. My first with a self bow. She walked in to about seven yards.

She was making vocalizations, almost like grunts as she approached. Never heard these from a doe before. At first i thought it was a young buck.
