First of all, I need to correct that comment that I donated this knife. It was handcrafted by master bladesmith and longtime PBS member Jay Hendrickson. He donated it for the Appalachian region Odd Year Gathering but when we saw that the online auction was going to be a reality we decided it would bring more online than at the OYG.

Jay calls it a camp knife, but it will do much more than cut tenderloin and onions for dinner at base camp.

Everything you see was hand made by Jay, from the blade to the bolster and pommel and even the leather sheath. The handle is hand inlaid with silver wire by Jay. I am going to add some more pictures of it so you can see the detail and craftsmanship that went into this beauty.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
