Getstonedprimitavebowhunt came up with an idea for giving a returning Vet a hunt. Well, I have several places for bowhunting whitetail, no horns this time of year, but maybe even next fall. Give me a hollar if your interested.

My name is Robert Blake I am married and have a 18 month old son. I would love a chance to hunt. I live in south Louisiana and haven't had a place to deer hunt since I moved here from Bossier city. I have been in the National Guard for 6 years I am a E-5/Sgt.. I went to Balad, Iraq 08-09 I haven't been home a year yet. I returned in April for good Friday. Since I have returned home I got back into college and am trying to finish up my degree. My mom and step dad live up in Crossette,Ark. How far are you from there?
Thank You for giving a vet a chance to hunt. You really are supporting the troops it is easy to forget there is a war going on even just leaveing it. So that means a lot that you would give back in this way.

I am open to any returning vet coming to Missouri for deer, turkey, squirrel or anything else that's legal with a bow.

I hunt mostly public land and there's lots of it.

God bless,Mudd

I will add my two cents in here also. I hunt public land in Kansas as that's where I live. If anyone wants to come here let me know. We do have some big horns and I do see them fairly often...Lonnie

Hey Blake, I was in Balad in from January 04- Jan 05. While I was there it was Mortar city, and a major sh*t hole. Over 800 inderect fires on FOB. I hope it improved since I left. When I left they were opening up the pool and the theatre. I'm sure that was great on hot days. Deployed again November of 05 to Nov 06 To Mosul and I had that pool in mind. Glad you made it home.

Hey fellas,
Im a vet myself but would be willing to host a fella or two on my farm for some deer or spring turkey. I got out of the Corps in 2007, and been trying to catch up on my hunting since then. I hope to go to Colorado the fall of 2011 if I can find somebody willing to climb the mountains with me

Hows it going guys,
I will be returning home from my current deployment from Afghanistan this August. This rotation is going to be giving me minimal time to secure and scout a hunting property for this fall. I think that this is a great program for the returning vets and when the time comes I would like my name added to the list as well.
I am in the 101st Airborne Div, Stationed out of Ft. Campbell, KY. If anyone knows any decent areas or people in the area willing to help a solider, I would be grateful for such information. I have hunted both on post and LBL before, but unfortunitly every weekend is like opening day of firearm season on post and LBL is crowded too.
I just want to thank everyone who partisipates in these kind of things for our servicemembers. It means alot to us all over here when we see good people who care about us and are unselfish enought to think about someone other than themselves. Thank you all, and God Bless.

Aaron

Wish I would of seen this before. I was in Balad from the day the hospital showed up on our trucks. And from day one it was Mortar City. We got there somewhere around Easter back in 2003 and we left there somewhere around the end of february on my first vacation to the sand hole. Hope all is well with you guys that are still over there. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks to the guys that started this. Anyone in Ohio got room for a tent in their back yard? LOL
