Great Northern has a "new" Angle quiver out. Here is a quick synopsis of my thoughts, and a few photos.
First, like all Great Northern quivers, quality is top level. This particular model has a horse hide hood, which is thinner then cowhide, has a bit more "figure" as well, and tough.
This angle quiver is basically like a standard GN "adjustable", but the metal connector peice is installed at an angle. You can use it with or without the "spacers" that come with the quiver. I found that on my Kanati, one spacer worked about perfectly. On more mild R/D bows (Widow PL type), then no spacer would need to be used to have the shaft at the same angle as the limb. For super exteme hybrids you could use both spacers for proper angle.
General thoughts-
*I like the way as with all GN quivers the arrows are held in a tight pattern and dont "fan" out at the bottom.
*The fletchings are very easy to keep "spaced" correctly as well.
*The strap system, tried and true, very secure and no worries about "creep".
*It is a very quiet quiver, meaning that there is no rattle or other distractions when shooting. Ive had other quivers that rattled no matter what I did.
*Very lightweight, compact, effecient quiver.
So, it kept all of the fantastic features of the classic Great Northern quiver that many of us enjoy, but now with the added benefit of the "angle", making for a smaller overall "footprint" of your hunting rig.
Are there "fancier" and "prettier" quivers out there.... probably... but as a wise old man told me once, "pretty is as pretty does" and this quiver does it right.
A huge thumbs up for the Great Northern "Angle" quiver.... and there classic quiver as well for that matter!
Here are a few photos, will post more when I get this computer to co operate!
