Was thinking, I know dangerous, and talking with some other members and thought it would be good for the hunt if we actually did this before deer season ended so the chance at taking a deer would be an option as well. Chickasawhatchee is open to the end of deer season, which I believe is Jan 15th so that maybe an option. Of course for those of us in the industry, we will be at the ATA show the 2nd weekend of January, but this hunt could be done either the 1st or 2nd weekend of January. Also would give our Northern Bretheren a chance to hunt some deer more. Whatcha think? Mark

Chicasawhatchee sounds good if it is the Dec 29 thru Jan. 4. After that I'll be working straight thru to May. Make it that weekend Mark and I'll let you drag the meat out for this old timer!!

If my memory's not fooling me (which it does pretty regularly) it seems like hogs have been pretty scarce at that time of year on Horse Creek in years past. That same memory tells me that there used to be some pretty good buck activity very late at Chickasawhatchee. If both are true I'd vote for trying an earlier date but at Chickasawhatchee. I'll be at the ATA also so would prefer it be that first weekend (1/2-4).

Sorry typed too fast and did not check, meant to say Chickasawhatchee is open till Jan 15th for archery, so that would be the place!!! Earlier dates are an option as well, so let's discuss it and see what everyone would want to do. Mark

New Years Day is Thursday, so a Friday, Saturday, Sunday hunt, Jan 2..3..4.. and until you have to go home sounds great to me. I'm planning to hunt some bucks there during this bowhunt this year for sure. I'm in for that weekend. Either weekend works for me, but why not have it so that the guys going to ATA can attend?

That would be nice, wouldn't it?

Depending on where it is and what my schedule looks like I may try to join you.
I think I will be passing "Hope" on to Joel around that time anyway.
