Final shoot of 2010 for North Georgia Traditional; Sunday, August 1st.
No helicopter or donkey rides for the kids, nor fireworks, but a fine course of 20 foam animals; skunks to hogs, deer, wolf, plains game, thunder chicken and an elk, all creatively placed in staged hunting situations. There are several sets we have not used before.
Should make for some fine shooting, and good times!
Lot's of fun, fellowship and good food. Shooting starts about 9:00 am, and continues till about 3 or so.
Ya'll come, please! Looking forward to seeing you!
Note: NGT Annual Meeting that afternoon. 2-ish? We get to elect a new President!
Will it be Pat Paulsen, or Ralph Nadar?
Directions;
ADDRESS: 2295 Lee Land Rd Gainesville, GA 30507
Take I 985 North to Exit 20 - CANDLER Rd. Turn Right. Follow Candler Rd East past the Hall County Landfill on the left and Cold Storage Facility on the right. Keep going a little further until you get to LEE LAND RD on the Right. You will see our big NGT sign. Turn Right and follow LEE LAND Rd until it forks under the cell tower and large powerline. We are there on the left. Look left and BACK! Someone stole our sign that was under the little shelter at the roadside. There is a sign but it is hard to see until you have passed it. If you go under the large powerline, you have gone too far! Look back to the left and you will see it by the gate.
Lunch from 11:00 or so to about 1:00 Recurve, Longbow, Primative, Women's and Youth classes.
Shoot fees are $5.00 for members, $10.00 for non members, which isn't bad at all for the fun. Membership is a one time donation of $25.00 which includes that day's shoot. It is traditional only, with field points....no wheelies or x-bows. You must sign in too.

The course is set. There are several new presentations this month that are fun and challenging.
Business meetings are usually not the most fun, but this one proves to be informative and interesting as we are going to discuss the plans that the incoming Club President and others have for next year.
Lunch will be available (deli style sammiches and the trimmings). There is a rumor circulating that there'll be homemade ice cream again this month.
Come join us for a day of fun!

Thanks to my buddy Jake Allen for hosting the shoot. He did his usual fine job.
While we had an awesome shoot and an even better meal (homemade ice cream showed up x2!), the most exciting thing was the plans for next year. There's a banquet planned for February 5 to help the club raise some funds and to foster more fellowship. Format (as I understand it) will be similar to the TBG banquet as far as the raffle goes. Y'all come out to support the club and win some cool raffle prizes.
There will also be a club championship shoot held next year. Probably gonna be a big deal! All are welcome to compete, members and non-members alike.
