Hi All,

Very new to traditional archery - came into a Super Kodiak when my grandfather passed and loved shooting it. It is 55#, which I felt/am told is difficult to learn on so I also got my hands on a 45# Grizzly (I am a hefty guy and have no problem pulling that at 30"). Anyway I am loving the sport and was wondering where guys in Central NJ go to shoot. I know there is a public range in Union County and I often shoot into the woods behind my house... but know it isn't ideal. I am in New Brunswick, by the way (yes there are a few spots with woods in that town!).

Also, any thoughts on good local shops? I know Efingers carries some trad bow gear and I think the Heritage Guild in Branchburg does as well. Any other suggestions?

By the way I did browse/search the forum for info on this and didn't find much for Central NJ - hope I'm not being redundant!

Thanks in advance!

Hello Tony,

Being in the New Brunswick area, you have a couple of good choices, the closest being Wa-xo-be in South Brunswick, and Blacknightsbowbenders in Jackson N.J., just passed the Jackson outlets on Rt. 537, both being great clubs

Good luck
