Anyone up for another wingbone call exchange? I'll volunteer to coordinate it. Just sign up here and we'll see how much interest there is. I'd suggest signing up by Feb 15th so we can match names and let you know who you're trading with. That might make it somewhat easier to add the appropriate decorations/personalization.
For those who don't know what these are or how to make them, there's a great build-along in the How-To section. OK, I'll make it easy.....
Don't worry about whether they're from a wild turkey or a Butter Ball. I doubt that anyone could one from the other. I'm sure the turkeys can't!
I'll create another post for anyone who'd like to sign up to provide some bones for those unfortunate ones among us (like me) who didn't get a turkey this year.
Dave

Hey Dave, If you don't mind I'd like to get in on the trade. I have never made one before, but I have already started two. The very first one I make will be my own keepsake and the second one I am willing to trade.
I already have them boiled out & ready to clean. I've read several tutorials and even have some printed out. I'm confident I can do it, especially with the guidance of Edsel Duty, who has made several.
Of course I HAVE to do some sort of artwork on mine.
Would anyone be willing to trade me one? I promise I'll do a good job.

Yep, I'm up for it, Dave. I might as well get in, after all the one last year got me started and made it possible for me being able to say thank you to some of my friends. (Besides I got a beauty in exchange from Brian B)

I'll jump in on this one. I have one extra set of bones for someone that does not have the means to get them, but wants to participate. They are cut, bleached and boiled.
God Bless, Charles

Sign me up. I have the wingbones from the Christmas turkey staring me in the face daring me to make them into a call.

Lance, I don't think it matters at all whether wild or Butter Ball. I THOUGHT that the wild turkey wing bones were longer, but looking at the one I'm just making, that's not true. Perhaps the Tom's wings are longer on a wild one....but then I hear tell the shorter ones work better anyhow. What Bernie said for pictures. Here's the link.
So far, we have 11 including me. Come one guys, lets at least get an even number, though I could have 1 send to 2, 2 send to 3, etc. Not exactly a trade, but certainly and exchange!
We've already got some offers of bones for those that need them. See Charles Sorrells post above and "Anybody Have Any Extra Turkey Wingbones?". Here's the link.

i'm sure there will be more and more oce this post runs for awhile. i know i will not have any bones untill may. not sure how long you plan on running the trade but i really would like to make a call with bones from a bird i take which would mean i wouldn't be ready to trade untill june. if this is to long of a hold i will borrow some bones from another member if possible. just curious as to how long the trade will be open. i look foward to trading! Ken, I'll poll the group for a completion date. It'd kind of be nice to have them for the spring season. It would also be nice to be able to make them from a turkey you/we/I killed. Right now, I'm planning on using bones from a turkey that a coyote killed, since I haven't managed to kill one yet!
