This thread is dedicated to the hunting adventures of Hope and Faith.
Hope and Faith will be traveling around the US hunting with various Trad Gangers for the next year, and then they will be auctioned off on our annual St. Jude's Auction to complete the commitment of Hope, Faith, and Charity.
A special thanks to Mark and Sandy Horne of Horne's Archery for donating the bows, and to Craig Warren for donating the Bow Bolt take down systems.
Check back often to read up on the gal's travels.

I must say that it was quite an honor to be the second guy to hunt with "Hope". I didn't make any big game kills but accumilated several bunnies with the bow. It seems very odd to be able to pick up a bow and shoot lights out right off the bat. What a georgeous pair of sweet shootin twins The Hornes have created!!!! Thanks for the opportunity to hunt with the bow. CK
(DAY 1)
The second day of hunting with the bow was extra special because I finally got to share in the hunt with Curt Cabrera. It had been a long time comming and will be a special memory for many years to come. Thanks Curt!

Nice shooting guys! Looks like a great time was had by all except the bunnies. They certainly are great looking bows, too!

Between CK, Guru and the coyotes and bobcats, how can there possibly be a bunny left on that ranch? LOL

Guys these bows are even prettier in person!!! I got to shoot "Faith" for a while, and had I found some arra's that would have worked,I'd of had her out hunting in a heartbeat!!!
"Rabbitman" and I were the only lefties in camp, and though I think Dick did shoot at a rabbit with her...she remains "bloodless".....who will be the first????
I'm looking forward to my time with her this October!!
CK, Your right bud,way overdue, but certainly worth the wait......It was an honor to finally hunt with you my friend .....we'll do it again!!!

Thumps up to Horne's Archery and Warren Archery for these beautifull twin bows. I did shoot a rabbit with the lefty, Faith, but never recovered it or my blunt. The last I saw of the two of them, they were traveling very fast together through the catcus. CK did tell me these south Texas rabbits were too tough for anything but broadheads...so I'll have to give him that one. Hot Dog....The bows are both 60" in length and marked 52#@28". Great hunt with a great bunch of guys! Wish you could have been with us Mick.

DiamondD, I've got a brush bow and you won't be disapointed. I've also got dibbs on "Hope" in October. Now if I'm only able to find a sucidal deer or turkey during that time, I'll be in business!

As Curtis said, he was the second one to hunt with "Hope" as I got first dibs on her. Me getting to hunt with her first was strickly out of necessity. I was the first one to fly into San Antonio, arriving around 0930 am and had to wait an hour or so for Dick and Chad to land from their connection through Memphis. After de-planing, I went down to baggage claim to pick up my bags, one duffle with clothes and necessities and my Hoppes arrow box with both my Morrisons, arrows, broadheads, etc. I had brought two bows just in case one of the other hunters was unlucky enough to have their bow not make it as I had heard horror stories about the airlines loosing hunting gear along with regular baggage. Well, I would have never thought in a million years that it would be me that it happened to. As I watched the carousel, I first spotted my duffle and retrieved it. Then,.... waiting, waiting,..... waiting..... and nothing. I went over to the baggage claim desk and talked to the rep there who said that he would go in the back and get my case for me since they usually didn't put those types of items on the carousel. When he came back out without my case, well you can imagine. It turns out that even though I checked the arrow case at the same time that I checked my duffle, the arrow case ended up in Chattanooga, Tenn. Lucky for me that Mark and Sandy Horne had done a great job at getting both Hope and Faith completed and delivered to Curtis in time for the hunt. So, just by necessity, I had the priviledge of bringing First Blood.

Terry, the knives were sent out Express today (what a nightmare that was). You should have them in your hands tomorrow. For the rest of you: I took a page out of Doug Campbell's book and made the sheaths cross-draw with an internal leather "lock" - just twist the handle and pull to get the knife out.
