Something isn't right. I've been trying to increase my draw length but I'm having issues. I think I might be having trouble finding an anchor point. I draw twice it seems. Once to my nose, then consciously straighten my bow arm, draw farther to the corner of my mouth, release. The mouth anchor doesn't seem to be working. Too vague but I can't seem to find a replacement that gives me a decent draw length. Can anyone identify what's going on?
Just a quick look here Greg. You aren't getting your shoulders lined up at all. they are staying very open to the target and that is making your string arm elbow stick way out. All this and the slight collapse doesn't give you a fair chance at all.
Your draw length will greatly increase IF, as you draw, you turn your shoulders to point at the target and allow your string elbow to move around towards your back. You will add (a guess) about 2" to your draw length and get into the back better.
You are trying to draw to some arbitrarily selected anchor rather than letting your draw determine your anchor.

Better, but your shoulders still need to come around more! You are still all arm draw. Turn those shoulders sharply to point at the target. You draw with rotation of the shoulders, NOT with the arm.
Yes I have watched your videos Arne. Clearly I need to watch them again, and again... Thanks for posting them.
Needing to pay attention to things as I do now has made my shot sequence slower, mechanical and less fluid than I like. Hopefully it'll be worth it. I'm trying to feel what muscles are doing what but it's not easy. An exaggerated rotational draw seems to introduce more movement than I like (ground hunter). I don't need to take hundreds of shots with a heavy bow so don't mind smaller muscles doing the work as long as I get my draw length back (or increased).
