Walking outside this morning and hearing all those songbirds has me chomping at the bit for April 18th! I am on year number 3 of getting my first gobbler... and doing it with my recurve!
I can't wait to spend some quality mornings in the blind and afternoons hunting morels and trout!
Growing up in Northern DE we never had any turkey until I moved to MD... let alone a season! Gotta love the season between Feb - Sept!
Has it been that long since Jan. 31?? Feel like it!!!!

two4hooking I am with you on that. I have been a avid hunter/bowhunter combined since 1964 and I have never taken a Turkey period. Mainly because I really did not have a place to go where I don't have compete along side of our firearm brothers since I only hunt with my bow. But this year I do have a place that have more than one flock of Turkeys and I am really looking forward to going. Man If I had places to Turkey hunt like I do for Deer hunting, I most certainly would have taken some Turkeys by now. Good luck to you and may your arrows find their mark.

I hear ya Tony! I finally have a good small farm with lots of birds now to hunt, but I do not know how many others hunt it with the gun.
Should be an interesting opening day!
I still plan to take a couple trips out to Greenridge just because, but i think the best chances will be on this small place if it pans out.
