Hey folks

We had several bunny hunts this year and although we would have starved if we had to eat bunny, we didn't even come close as the meets were pot luck and we ended up eating too much !

At one of them, we talked a little about other "hunts" that we could do as a small group, and bowfishing came up.

Especially if we could find some places that are amenable to shore fishing and wading fishing. No contest, no pressure, just get out there and have a great time together. Maybe a picnic lunch and munchies available ?

This also sounds like a great place to bring some younger folks.

I will keep an eye out for spots. Anybody else interested ? Any ideas where ?

I'd be up for some "carping" if the timing is right. I still have to work! Not like some folks I know [Roll Eyes]

I don't know of good spots for wading, but would sure give it a try if you come up with something.
I did get in on some great action out of a kayak last year. It's a short window when the fish are working, but fast action if we hit it right. If anyone has a boat and wants to get in on it let me know.

Have boat(s), will travel Joe. Just sold a boat last summer and still have 4 left. I love carp stabbing either by boat or wading. None of my boats are set up for night fishing though so would have to be a daylight activity.

I have several craft... a big ol canoe, a coupla kayaks, a 12 foot row boat and a bigger boat, any of which can be used, depending on conditions.

Joe.. do you stand up in that Native craft ? I don't think it is a good idea in my kayaks.

I really would like for this to happen.. more than once is even better.

Of course...... we probably should wait a little till it gets. . . what's that word ? (WARM)

I do stand up in the Native Craft. Pretty stable, but the way the bottom is shaped means I can't turn with my feet so it limits shots only to the left side.
Looking forward to some liquid water!

Do they come in any more "natural " colors ? Duck hunting in a bright colored craft is no fun at all !

Those are some hog carp! Shoot one of them in the wrong spot and you better hang on! They make great fertilizer for the tomato too! I dig a hole and throw the chopped up carp in there add a little dirt and watch the mators grow! Some times the coon and skunks smell them and you will find your plant dug up the next day thou. Shooting carp is a blast!

Raf is fishing deeper waters. He's got one on the hook and isn't going to let her get away.

Charlie, is that going to be a visit or are you finally going to make it permanent???
