I got an invite to bowhunt at Webb. Has anyone hunted there? I was concerned about pressure since there are 500 quota permits.Thanks.

Tarponnut,

I hunted webb a couple years ago for three seasons. I was never successful and only saw a couple dear while walking to my stand location. There is a fair hog population. If your partner is very experienced in webb you might have a better opportunity. The problems with webb is the # of hunters, very wet and wide open terrain, need 4x4 transportation on the roads except main grade, many inconsiderate hunters who dont stand hunt only roam from daylight on. I dont bother to apply for webb archery, I think the success rate is 10% or less. Pretty country and some decent bass fishing if the water is up! Hope this helps.

Have you hunted Allapattah Flats? I drew for that but haven't had time to scout it.
Thanks for the info.

My buddy took a mature doe with his compound.
I missed a doe, she jumped the string at 20 yards.
Nice country.
