I shot a nice, tight group at 50 yards with the first longbow Robert ever built and Goldtip 1535s (more like 30-50s if you ask me). Look at where the compound folks shot! There's plenty more pictures to browse through as well.
I think I enchanted at least one person at the shoot by being a real live archer with a longbow who hit the target most of the time. It was a great shoot, even with the monster deer-flies that wanted to eat me alive.

Great shooting, I'm more than a little jellous. I have been itching to get out and shoot some field rounds this year, but I have been way too busy:( seems like when I have a chance to go somewhere to shoot there are only 3d shoots going on, but thats ok because I like them too!

Great shooting Helen, I love to out shoot the compounds at any distance but, I don't stand a chance at 50 yards.

I have to admit, it does get a bit lonely being the only stick-shooter at a lot of these field and target shoots.

Mudfish: This was at Gator Bowmen in Gainesville.
Yes, I have an awesome personal bowyer =) That longbow is a truly beautiful bow that shoots very well as long the archer remembers what she's supposed to be doing and actually does it!
