A friend of mine who's never shot at a TBoF or other traditional-only event was curious if string-walking and/or face-walking was permitted at TBoF. I don't know if she'll actually come out to a TBoF event but she did express interest in the possibility of popping up at one if her schedule allows her to. I told her that string-walking is probably a no-no but I wanted to double-check to make sure. What about face-walking? I know the official longbow and traditional divisions in NFAA or FITA don't allow it although it's perfectly fine for their barebow division but I haven't heard anything about it in TBoF.

as far as I know.. as long as there are no sights and wheels she will be fine..there was a time when string/face walking and elevated rests were not allowed but that has changed

This has really not been an issue at the distances we are shooting. Short and trashy courses do not lend themselves to those methods.
