FWC will be reviewing the current Quota permit system for possible changes very soon. They have asked me to relay any suggestions bowhunters might have. I will be glad to do so if you have any suggestions. It may come to pass that any changes to the quota system will become null and void if sweeping changes are made in deer management as a whole due to the work of DMTAG. That is something I have not been involved in, but what it amounts to is some sort of taging system, be it call in or issued tags. That sort of system would probably be a couple years down the road at the earliest. Meanwhile we have a quota permit system and the FWC wants to make it as user friendly as they can. They really do want to help us out if they can, so speak up with your suggestions.

Yeah, Jimmy Thanks. I see there is a lot of interest in the quota system....LOL. Actually I have gotten a couple of good suggestions, and I will pass them on to good folks at FWC. They really are trying to help us out if they can.

I think quota results should be released sooner. It takes quite a bit of scouting to get on the deer, and sooner would give us more time to do it. Not sure if that's actually feasible, but it's my $0.02
