Now that my son and I are MLA members we're wondering if there are any plans for a deer hunt/gathering this fall at Seven Lakes State Park? If so we'd surely like to attend.

Rick yes you and your son are members, but you still have to send the Membership secretary your address and your sons name and address. kens48@comcast.net
The hunt most likely wont take place at 7 lakes. even in Oct. there were too many people there.

Like Ken said, I don't believe we are doing a "Group" hunt at 7 lakes, but I might find myself there a day or two during the season.
Ken and I put the one at 7 lakes together last year, and in my eyes it was a success, if someone would like to take the bull by the horns and put a hunt together for this fall, I'm sure it will be as well attended as last year's was. Not to mention, I would like to see other parts of the state, and in all actuality, it is simple to put a hunt on. Just make sure the place has enough room to accommodate up to 15 hunters (more or less), ample camping facilities and that is it. We will find it, hunt it, enjoy some evening meals/campfires and leave it better than we found it.
Is anyone interested in "hosting" the hunt this year?

I've been kicking around the idea of hunting NW of Grayling for a few years, how much interest would there be in doing something that far north? Thom

Thanks Jeff, I think that sounds pretty good! If other MLA folks are interested in doing a camp up in that neck of the woods I might like to consult with you about different campgrounds and hunting areas you might know about.
Don, it would be good to hunt with you again! Thom
