I just wanted to tell the rest of the traditional world what kind of association the Appling Archers of Appling, Ga are! I just got back from their 3day event(my first 3d shoot and a VERY humbling experience) and am still amazed at the quality of people these guys(and gals)! I am pretty much a novice, I have been shooting about 9 months and no matter how bad I shot, I never felt anything but support from everybody involved. The best part is after all was said and done, they handed over a $5000.00 donation to the Christian Bowhunters of America org.(every dollar raised from the event) I'll post a link to some pics a little later.

Wish i could have been there but had to work, glad it went well, especially after the weather came in. They certainly had an amazing roster of guests and those boys definitely know how to put on a great shoot

Two hatchet, I dropped the money on that dang bow! I made him dig it out of his toolbox. I shot it for about 45min when I got home in 25mph windgust and I should have bought it thur before the 3d shoot! Russ

Russ do you think you could have hit that elk with this new bow? I had a blast at the shoot and met a lot of new friends. The Appling Archers put on a first class event in all respects.

I agree. The Appling Archers are all a class act. I really enjoyed the weekend. I met many new people that I will always call my friends. I hope they have it again next year because if they do I will be there.

I could have hit a smaller tree for sure! Billy, I know why you extended the hunting invite, your confident the deer will remain unharmed by my arrows! I did hit the buffalo once at the novelty shoot!

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words. It was truly our pleasure and it reminded us of what we can accomplish when we unite in a common cause. Russ, I saw TP digging a bow out of the back of the truck while we were cleaning up - didn't know you were the suckerm uh, customer! TP does make a swift and silent bow. By next year's festival you'll be stackin' em! Hal

I was really blessed this past weekend. The course set-up was great, the scenery was awesome and all of the guys from Appling Archers were champs. It was a treat to see the guest hosts (TP, Monty Browning, Fred Asbell, Dean Torges) whom most of us only read about. It was a great time for the kids, also. I could go on and on. For those of you who missed it.....put it on your calendar for next year. Thanks Hal and all of you from Appling Archers. God Bless.
