This was my first mojam and I really enjoyed it. Could only stay for Saturday but it was worth the 2 hour drive. I'm not sure why you guys always complain about the weather, it was delightful.
The range was always a busy place
Camp sites inside the gate were hard to come by.
Mike at the Nocking Point kept everyone well supplied with anything you may have needed.
David helped others the entire day. There was not one time I stopped by the pavelion and he wasn't teaching someone how to build a bow. Incredible job.
I thought this one was kind of funny. A guy putting a quarter split stave of osage into a mustang GT.

You can't go to mojam without taking a picture of the bandsaw.
Thanks to the Marshal bowhunters for being such great hosts!

I finally made it, if only just for a day. We (my youngest daughter and I) got there around 11am (close to 5 hrs driving), and hooked up with the Okie gang.
My cousin and I took in the 3D course (good thing foam can't laugh at ya) and we scattered arrows everywhere. My cousin Jim (Wind D Ranch)

Had a good time and we got home around midnight. Was really looking forward to sleeping in but we had this giant yella' skeeter buzzing around the house real early. They sprayed the corn across the road from us this morning and this pass and several others was directly above our house (no zoom on the picture).

Yessir! If you didn't make MoJam 09.....you missed one for the books!! Can you believe, campfires in the evening to stay warm while visiting? Can you believe you could chase a ring on a stave in the middle of the afternoon in Marshall, Mo, in the middle of July, and not break a sweat?? The weather chairman did a SPECTACULAR job. Lows in the lower 50's, highs in the low 70's, barely. It was a wonderful time to be in Marshall. Thanks to the MBA for hosting another wonderful event. Two Thumbs Up!!

This was my first MOjam as well. I had a fantastic time and came out with tons of new knowledge and my first osage bow. Can't wait for more of these meet ups. Weather was fantastic.

Yep, this was one for the books... Best sleeping outside weather EVER. For once, the folks in the motel rooms were the ones who were "griping"...
Lots of old faces and lots of new ones. Missed ya Dano but there was a fella who asked me at the range if I was "Dano"... Told him nope, The real Dano is taller...
Sure was good to see everyone, had Dave Bulla camping next to us and man, we ate good. Watch out for his stuffed jalapenos tho...
Thanks to Keith,Brad and the rest of the folks at Marshall for doing such a great job. And thanks to Dave for finding the bow that was hiding in that gnarly stave I had... (it was sooo gnarly, Dave actually sat down to lay it out...) Can't wait till next year...

It just figures!! I don't make it and the weather is great
Great pictures guys, I really like the Okies picture. Nice to see you finally made it to Mojam Dennis.
Paul, you make a fine stand in for me. We just need to get you some lemonade.

Yep Dano, you could have taken the family someplace "cool" this July and it would have been Mojam...
I was flattered by the fella wonderin' if I was you but not sure if I'd be up to the "role" of Dano... and we were passin out some Mead at our campfire Friday night but lemonade would be ok too. Lennie from over in Hannibal brought home made beer Saturday as well as some of his wine...good stuff. Oh, Dave's peppers were up to the HDFH standards...and then some. (come on ice cream...)

Yea Dano, sure wish you would have been able to make it. Lots of others too.
Paul, we sure enjoyed camping next to you and Sue.
As for the jalapeno's.... I'm thinking maybe I might have to do them during the day like Mickey did the HDFH's so that they are sure to go to people who will actually eat them. I think quite a few got tossed in the trash with one bite out of them.
Sorry I don't have any pictures but I did start a post about my daughter and her friend at mojam and it has a couple videos of them shooting on the course.
There is also a "black video" that doesn't show anything because it was taken at night but has audio of the folks playing the drums at night and Lindseys friend Emily is playing guitar. Sounds pretty cool but I have to wait for Lindsey to upload it to youtube. Those guys were pretty darned good! Drums, buckets, water jugs, sticks. Anything that could be whacked to some sort of musical beat was fair game.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark. Posts: 3245 | From: Kansas City MO | Registered: Apr 2003
