Me, my son and my father, were there all day Friday. This was the first time we had ever been to an event like this, and we all had a wonderful time. Good people, awesome vendors, and the custom bowyers bows, beautiful. Thanks to all who were involved with this event, we'll be back next year for sure.

Bless your heart, Lonnie, it was a real pleasure to see you and Kathy there and having time to enjoy yourself a little. Fine Comp. Course IMO ... even if my score didn't show it - LOL

I want to thank everyone who attended ATAR, yes we had less people this year, but those who made it looked pretty happy. Bernie it is always a pleasure to have you, I meant all I said on Sunday, there really isn't enough words to express what happiness you bring to us and our children who attend.
I do want to thank some people:
Al, Danny, Maynard, the WHOLE ODLE FAMILY, Shane and Desi Caron and family, Danny's daughter Amy, Shane Caron, without you all I would have lost my mind. This group consitently helps and drives the main part of ATAR over the last several years, THANK YOU.
Lonnie Sneed did our comp range this year, I didn't get to go to it, but I've shot enough of Lonnie's ranges to know it wouldn't disappoint. Lonnie I thank you for helping me out by volunteering to not only setup, but to run it, and getting your own help for it. I know you had a lot of assistance from Bic, Mike P., Jack, Bert, Mike D., and several others, THANK YOU all also, you helped bail me out.
Gene and Sandy, I appreciate all you do, I tried to thank you every chance I had, if not for Sandy, there would be nothing but child on parent carnage from boredom at ATAR, she does so much back there for them, I am truly amazed and thankful. Even for the short time my crew was there on Saturday, they had a blast. THANK YOU BOTH, along with the CBA and all of your volunteers and helpers.
I want to thank Keith Butner for going off on target removal Sunday, Keith was a man posessed on getting targets out of the woods, THANK YOU KEITH.
If I missed anyone, I am sorry, like I said last year, you can kick me when you see me next.
Tomorrow will be my daughters Birthday, literally. I had alot on my mind here in the last two weeks, ATAR was fantastic, but in all honesty it is nothing compared to tomorrow. I get to meet my daughter for the first time. She can say she was at ATAR X, but really didn't get to see anything.
I hope everyone arrived safely from their journeys to and from, I will post scores with in the next couple of weeks, if everything gets calmed down next weekend, hopefully maybe then, so please be patient, I will get it out for everyone.
I did forget someone, Toby Lane, it was good to see you again, I thank you for doing the feather seminar, I wish more folks would have attended and these worked better for us, but regardless, you came and did it anyway. Thank you Toby and I hope to see you and your crew at some future shoots.
Lonnie and Gene, I thank you both for doing the string course and the quiver course, I still think the courses were good ideas, but maybe it was like Mike P. said, we just had "bad" pretty weather for folks to enjoy outside rather than sit and learn. Regardless, I thank you both for you time and efforts. Danny, thanks for the donated fox pelts, one for the quiver, and one for a little Odle neck piece.
THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN.
Bobby

See I knew I forgot some people, I forgot vendors.
TradTech Archery. I thank John Wert with helping us out on the bow give-aways this year for the kids. We were able to make 3 different kids happy, and one more in the next couple of weeks who had to leave early. I wanted this year to try and be the best one for the kids who attended and TradTech helped fufill that. John, between Al and myself, I hope we didn't drive you crazy, you guys are great to shoot the bull with.
Big Jim, Jim Gainey, Mike Treadway, Antler Fleece, Twig Archery, Eagles Flight, Zipper bows, Sneed Turkey calls, Alton Hill, Anneewakee Archery, Cold Mountain Longbows, Hoots Bows, Morrison Bows, Hawk Arrows, CBA, Hummingbird Bows, Bearbowman Strings, Harrah's bows, Mikes Osage, Southern Archery Targets(Kevin Cordel), No Wheels Traditional Archery, Dinks feathers, Sauers & Company Veneers, Stone Point Archery (I think that's right), and I know I'm missing more, I'm just going off of memory (and a poor one) right now, thank you all for coming and setting up, without you all attending and helping folks out, we'd have a hard time promoting traditional archery to new folks who come by interested. I know all of you make long trips, we are truly thankful and blessed you decide to do so.
On behalf of TBSWV, thank you.

We still could have used your good nature and real person attitude, Don - just to keep us all grounded (and focused - LOL). So don't get the idea we can get by without you. Troy and Paul could have used your help keeping John and Preston in line too (I gave up on that tough job - )
Bobby, I was told by quite a few folks (beforhand) what a great, hard working and nice, humble, appreciative man (and Club President) that you are. I found out for myself this weekend that they all knew what they were talking about. I think the expressions of your thanks at the awards ceremony, and in your posts above should let other folks know you a little better also. Job well done, my friend, and thank you for your kind comments.

A big thanks to all the guys and gals who made the shoot possible. As usual ya'll did a great job. Thanks to all who stopped buy our booth and purchased pottery and bowsocks. My wife and I had a great time. Overall it was a pleasant weekend. THE ONLY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WE ENCOUNTERED WAS THE LOUD GENERATOR BIG JIM RAN ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT. VERY INCONSIDERATE OF OTHERS IF YOU ASK ME. Paul<><

Just a note to Bobby, Al, Danny, Gene, Sandy and the rest.....
When I was a vendor you all treated me so well that I knew that when I left LAS that ATAR was a shoot I wanted to attend as a shooter....everyone made me feel welcome, always asking if I was enjoying my new role as a shooter instead of a seller....my wife and I enjoyed our weekend there...and felt like we were among friends....I enjoyed shooting all the courses(finally) and talking to everyone.
You folks work hard to provide a great shoot, but it would be just another shoot without all of your personalities and caring....
Just to let you know, we will be back, Lord willing....not just for the shooting, but for the friendships we have developed...it makes the 7 hour drive well worth it....
Great job, everyone, and thanks for making us feel so welcomed......right down to Danny making fun of my bald "onion" head.....
