Hi guys. I'm looking for an honest opinion, because I've never been to Kalamazoo, but heard it is a great experience. I have nothing to do this weekend. Would it be worth it for me to drive 11 hours one way from Alabama to check it out Friday and Saturday? I'd love to go, but man that drive will be a killer!

It's tough to make that call for someone else. It's a great show. My best description is a good size (for the midwest anyhow) gun show that is only trad bow related. Probably 60% bowyers and 20/20 full line vendors and specialty items.
There are always some nice history displays, hands on how to's and seminars.
It all depends on how much trad stuuf you want to check out.
I believe I have only missed two of them since they started in Hastings ~15 years ago, but I'm only 2-1/2 hours away.

I'm heading up on Friday. Does anyone know if G. Fred Asbel is going to be there? I would like to try on one of his pullovers.

If you are going and you expect a vendor to have something specific, please call them. Every year we have people walk up and ask for stuff we have in the shop but didn't think to bring to the show. We don't have room for everything.
Our number is 888-800-7880. We've had calls already so don't be shy. I know the other vendors appreciate it if you call them when you are looking forward to seeing something. Call quick. Some will be hitting the road tomorrow.

We'll be working the MLA booth all three days. Making new friends, listening to the seminars, going to the K-Wings game on Sat nite and sharing evenings w/ old friends. Sounds great doesn't it? Now if we only had a campfire and a guitar....
