The raffle bow for this year is going to be one of the new Apex, wooden ILF bows. I picked it up in Baltimore last week and it is really a good looking bow!

We're looking to make the 7th annual STAR better than ever! In addition to the competitive 3-D, field and "tough man" courses, we're working particularly hard on the 18-target "fun" course, including several interactive targets plus a planned "running deer" shot. Shoot an apple off the dummy's head (no, Flinthead didn't volunteer for this one), pick off the mannequin's cigar, choose the shot difficulty for your shooting buddies on the interactive targets! "Shoot till your fingers blister!" is our motto! Don't miss it, June 9-10!

Hey, Danny, what rocks? All you need to do is hit the targets and you won't have to worry about the rocks! . . . John

I don't have a problem with it if anyone is there to let you in. I know I will be out there in the morning but have a commitment that afternoon.

I spent the mornings yesterday and today, chain sawing and weed eating out a new 3-D course for you guys. It gonna be tough, but some really cool shots. I hope it ends up being one of the best courses you end up shooting this year.

Everyone please remember to bring along your unwanted stickbow-related items that you care to sell or trade. Our consignment area will be larger than ever and open all day long for your enjoyment and profit! At the 2011 STAR, I sold three bows and two dozen arrows, thus raising the funds to cover my purchase of a beautiful Hummingbird longbow from bowyer / vendor Ben Graham. Only five days remaining till it's time to "shoot till your fingers blister!" Don't miss this great traditional shoot!
