-------------------- Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥ Posts: 507 | From: Fountain Inn, South Carolina | Registered: Oct 2010

We're a year from ground zero, and it's not always easy. Talk with every old archer/bow hunter, every archery or pro shop, and follow all the leads they give you to talk with as many others as you can find. If it's like it was around here, you'll get sick of hearing about all they love about trad archery, but how little time or interest they have in attending a meeting, or anything else that might disrupt their busy lives. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard "...but let me know when you have a shoot!" or "way too busy now with kid's sports(or whatever), but call me in a few years!" "put me on your email list, but I don't want to pay any dues right now." "Don't email me because I'm too busy and my wife doesn't tell me when I get emails...instead, please phone me with news that might interest me!"
So very few will simply join up and ask what they can do to help. They are how it starts. And the engine that keeps it going.
The others will come along when it gets fun(realistically, they will still pick and choose what they attend.) But, you will need them too, so you have to keep them on your side.
Are you inspired yet? I hope so. Tom
