I received my Holm-Made Osprey today. (#5 in this thread, http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=48;t=001441

I used the arrows I had on hand. 29.25" BOP, 190gn field point, total arrow weight between 605gn and 615gn, spined 70-75#.

A couple twists in the string to raise the brace height a hair, and I was putting the arrows in a 4" plate at 15 yards (normal for me, I have a lot of work to do). I usually shoot recurves, so shooting this longbow as well as I shoot my recurves so quickly was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

I didn't chrono it, but there was no noticeable speed difference from my 60#@28" RER Arroyo. The most amazing thing to me was how quiet it was, simply no sound whatsoever. I swear I could hear the arrow going downrange, but not the release.

This just makes my anticipation grow since I have a Holm-made River Runner on order. If it is anything like the Osprey, I'll have another fantastic bow.

Chad's bows are just that nice.

I owned a River Runner and you will NOT be disapointed. The RR was one of the quietest recurves I have ever shot!

Congrats!

I too am duly impressed by their performance but what I really like is how slim and trim the design is and the overall high quality of the fit and finish. My Osprey is a very nice bow.

JCJ, so true.

It really is a beautiful bow, and the quality ir readily apparent. Also, I can see me carrying such a lightweight bow all day long in the field with no discomfort.

Nice and 4" groups at 15 yards are very good!! Don't believe everything ya read. If ya keep them at 4"s at 20 yards you shoot as good if not better than most!! Nice bow and nice shooting! Shawn

My son shoots an Osprey and I shoot a River Runner. Both great bows. So nice, that my Osprey should be at my house sometime in April. Chad makes a great bow!!
