Chub, I use the Magnus stingers but I can't say that I've heard them hissing. The Magnus heads seemed silent in my opinion. Are you sure it's the broad head and not your fletching?

Shooting broadheads or field points, the only time I hear my arrows "hissing" on the way to the target, is when my parabolic shaped feathers are starting to get "ratty and worn" looking.

Some broadheads are known for hissing but Stingers are not one of them. I've never personally heard a Stinger hiss, even when bow tune was mediocre. Are you sure they are properly aligned, or as Night Wing mentioned, that's its not something other than the heads?

I had some hissing Wensel Woodsmans back in the day. The critters never seemed to notice... until it was too late that is!

I don't think the whistle of the broadhead, or new feathers, matter much. I've had arrows with just the right tear or flaw in a feather that sound like a jet plane going downrange. That might be excessive.
That said, the Wensel Woodsman Elite in the heavier non-vented weights (I have the 175gr.) are pretty much silent in flight.

Yep I'm with the fletching guess as well. I have had many packs of vented Stingers and never had one hiss. I have had the vented Woodsman's hiss. I hate it to as I really like there performance on a deer. I am going to try some Big Jim non vented heads this season I think.

My woodsman's and magnus snuffer's sound like a war movie of bombs comming in. My eskimo's are dead silent and penetrate much deeper. :-) Use the snuffers on turkeys. they are big and will nock them good. Use zwickey's on deer.

Based on my years of experience and this is predicated on shooting aluminum arrows, there are two things which make an arrow make a hissing sound on the way to the target. They are:
1) Ratty and worn feathers 2) Vented broadheads
I have eleven differently spined aluminum test arrows ranging in spine from 1916 to 2314. They are all fletched with 3, 5" parabolic feathers with eleven degrees of helical twist. Last Friday morning, the 2212 test arrow which I fletched one year ago, started to make a "hissing" sound on the way to the target with a field point attached. Before this, it had never made that sound. After looking at the fletching, one of the hen feathers was getting real worn and ratty looking. I took off the ratty and worn hen feather, re-fletched with a new one, let the arrow sit overnight, shot the arrow Saturday morning and no more hissing sound.
Ratty and worn feathers are usually the #1 cause of a hissing arrow in my opinion.

Same here, my Stingers don't make any noise at all. I bet it's your feathers, change broad heads or put on a field point and see if the noise is still present.
On the other hand, my Magnus 3 blade Snuffers do make a bit of noise but the coyote I thumped at 15 steps this past fall didn't seem to notice.
