A friend with Alpaca and sheep gave me LOTS of wool, just wondering how people usually install it with the best results. I have ordered bow hush, but this will do in the meantime. Thanks.

I use wool yarn. I open up a hole between the two bunches right below the loop and loosely wrap my wool yarn around the string down past where the string contacts the limb and then open a hole again, put your tag end in and cut it off.

Maybe i should have specified. I have a big bag of loose fibers. Is there any way to make these work, like "weave them into the string"??

yes you can.... after you make a twist insert wool bundle then make twist then more wool bundle and repeat for 1 1/2 to 2" then after string is made cut wool to shape like a football...and then you just made a moutain muffler silencer...got any extra wool [Smile]

Could do it like dubbing for fly tying, make a loop of thread, place loose fibers inside the loop along the thread and twist. Now you have a long strand of fibers that you can wrap up and down your string like a piece of yarn.

I would contact Two Tracks (TG sponsor), and see if you have enough to have them felt it down to useable product.
