I bought a Black Swamp longbow from Mike at ATAR. There was a lefty on his table that I made the grave mistake of shooting . Well, I couldn't get that little bow out of my head until I just had to buy it. What a neat bow and a great shooter. He told me that if I were not completely satisfied with the bow he had a two week buy-back and I could return it. Today I received a call from Mike just to follow up and see if everything was OK with the bow and wanting to know if I am satisfied with it. That is rare customer service. The guy is covered up with business in spite of having no presence on the internet and it's no wonder. A big to Mike Treadway....Dave

Mike is always a real down to earth gentleman and extremely well-liked and respected by customers, other bowyers (competition), and just pretty much everyone who meets him. Quiet, friendly, and pleasant. I see, and talk to, him at just about every shoot I go to since I first started going to them 8 or 10 years back and have never heard a bad word about him. Makes a nice, and popular, bow too. Hard not to like a gent like that. Another chap that always comes to mind along with Mike is pretty much exactly the same type all around and I could say the same things about - Bill Shoup, an NC arrowsmith (and sometimes bowyer). I guess they raised them good up there in the foothills of NC - LOL

I manage to talk to Mike every year at ETAR -- Denton Hill. He always remembers me as a guy who handles and sometimes shoots one of his bows but has yet to buy one. His bows are exceptional in every way and I would recommend them highly. Even though Mike remembers me as a guy who drools but does not buy, he always is very pleasant and friendly. This year he sold my friend one of his bows. My friend could not shoot it as he is recovering from surgery so I shot it for him and recommended he buy the bow. Because my friend won't be able to shoot the bow for another month, Mike extended the "buy back" offer to my friend to 2 months.
