Calling all troops!TBG youth program has been asked if we could do a couple events for The Rock Ranch(The Rock,Ga - Hwy 36,between Thomaston and Barnesville). This is a farm property developed by Truitt Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-a,for family oriented events/activities.The dates requested are Oct 22 and Nov 12.Plan is to do 5-6 hrs for each.Participation is sure to be heavy.I was told number of attendees for their events typically average 3000.We could expect to see 500 or so in the time frame we will have, but it will be limited to a single line cordoned off to feed the shooting station. They will do all site prep(much like Unicoi, but we'll have more space than there). We will set targets and stations.I realize both these dates mean sacrificing some prime hunting opportunities, but if we're serious about the youth program we must bite the bullet(er...broadhead)and get to the task at hand.If you can help please advise asap so I can know whether to commit to these. These events would mean very good exposure for us.I don't have to tell you how well thought of the Chick-fil-a organization is.You can call me directly at 770-468-5974.Thanks to all and please give this serious consideration...Tony Smith

Tony, what are the times of day for that 5-6 hour window ? Is that up to us ? If we can set it more toward midday it might make it more attractive to folks who would like to help but squeeze in some hunting time, too. Maybe we can coordinate a hunt nearby afterward for those who're volunteering ?

got an evening hunt lined up bout fifteen minutes away, asked Chuck if we could bring a few of the volunteers to his farm and he said yes. Get your name on the list and we'll have some spots scouted and stands up
