Lansing, Michigan Traditional Archery League starting back up in January has room for some additional shooters. To be held again at the brand new MSU Demmer Center shooting facility. If you have not shot at this facility it is state of the art, an incredible place to shoot! While we do keep score the focus of this league is not competitive but rather to keep our shooting/hunting skills sharp in a fun relaxing and safe environment.
Here are the details:
Monday nights at 6:00pm
First day - January 3, 2011
10 weeks. We will go longer if there is interest
Location - MSU Demmer Center, Jolly Road, Lansing
Shooting format will be 12 rounds of 5 arrows at varying distances out to 20 yards.
Traditional bows without sights
Any arrow material
Animal targets
Cost – Members of Demmer Center shoot free non-members pay $7 a night. There will also be a one time target fee of approximately $20.

I replied "maybe" on the facebook invite because I usually have Growth Group (Bible study) every other Monday, but there might be another one to join if this night is set in stone for you guys. I'd love to join the league!

T Folts - We have one guy that shoots in the league who lives in Howell. There are Trad shooters from all over the Lansing area...Dansville, Bath, DeWitt, St Johns, Williamston, Lansing, etc. Shoot me your contact info and I'll get you on my email list and keep you posted. schappell@cablespeed.com.
John Cooper- last year we were given Sunday nights but the MSU Archery Team has taken that slot. Monday was the only night available this year so it is in stone. If you can make it work we'd welcome you.

The league is filling up nicely. Still waiting for a few pwople to call me back to let me know if they are in for sure or not but I looks like we'll have at least 20 people. Most of the people that shot last year are coming back and we have a nice group of new people coming in this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday, Janaury 3.

We now have a full league at 33 shooters. If you are not on the league and want to drop in and shoot, I would still encourage you to do so...can't gurantee there will be an open spot for you but every week there have been opennings due to regular shooters having to do other things and cannot attend.
