Just thought I'd post some interesting info about some FOC numbers I've come up for some Arrow Dynamics Hammer Head and Hammer Head Lite shafts.

Hammer Head:

FOC = 19.354%
Shaft Length: 31"
Balance Point: 21.50
Point Weight: 225 gr.
Insert Weight ~32 grains
Total Weight: 663.8 grains
Note: Shaft has Easton G-nock and adaptor instead of the AD factory supplied nock

Hammer Head Lite:

FOC = 15.322%
Shaft Length 31"
Balance Point 20.25
Point Weight: 125 gr
Insert Weight: ~32 gr
Total Weight: 553.5 gr
Note: Shaft has Easton G-nock and adaptor instead of AD factory supplied nock

The Hammer Head shafts with 225 grain inserts fly very nicely out of my bows ranging from 54# to 68#... They tune nicely over a broad range of draw weights.

I tried the Hammer Head Lites with 225 grain points and shot through my 54# Protege longbow they spined weak. The Lites with 125 grain points tune nicely with all my bows in draw weights between 50-58#

Compared to the straight shaft carbons I've tried in my bows the tapered Hammer Heads are MUCH easier to tune and less sensitive to changes in shelf offset and draw weights.

I shoot the HH light as well. They are a great shaft. I have been using 200gr heads with success out of my bows ranging from #40-#53, but recently changed to 125gr and things are looking well.

I also use the G-nock adapter.

I think the interesting thing is the FOC for these shafts is very respectable especially since they are using moderately heavy points with only the aluminum inserts--no added weight!

I am having good results with the HH lite cut to 28.75 and 180 up front 585 grain carbon arrow and a high foc with bows from 46# to 54#.

Full length with nearly 400 grain up front. Standard nocks, 60-65# bows at 30" total arrow weight is 780gn.
They don't stop.
