Sorry I am just now getting back to you, I most of missed your post earlier.
The answer is yes to both of them. A couple of us have spots in walking distance from camp them some of us have spots we have to drive to, so it's totaly up to you. If the acorn crop is good hunting in and around camp will be great, if not then we are on the search for feeding grounds.

Went up to Grayling on sunday. Did some scouting, found a couple of places to hang a stand if no one else is sitting there. About a mile from camp. Campground looks great. Caught 1 small brown trout at Burtons Landing. Took my 69 Kodiak Hunter along that I bought on tradgang in June, did some stump shooting while I was scouting. Had a great day. There is just something about walking in the woods in Grayling, carrying a vintage Bear bow, next to the river that Fred Bears ashes were poured in.

Awesome Bro, Shane, Kody, Jacob and myself plan on driving up Friday evening the 12th then spend the day Saturday hanging our stands then head home Saturday night.
Then Denny and I will be up late Thursday the 19th or early Friday the 20th. Man I can hardly wait!
