The St. Charles shoot is at Tacoma Sportsmans Club this weekend. Hope to see you there.

I went both days ... first day I went early and saw maybe 6 other trad shooters. The second day i called a few friends, three, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I saw two shooters on the course and one coming out when we were on the field range. We went at 10:00 today ....

Very disappointing to see only a handful of shooters at an event honoring Glenn. Jay St Charles donated a very nice Thunderbird recurve as a raffle prize, as yet my cell phone has not rung so I must not have won.

Course was set up pretty well and had some very nice targets. Some stakes where a bit long for me, I prefer 20 yards and since we had the place to ourselves lots of arrows were shot at various yardages with no score being kept. All in all a great time, but we certainly need to find a way to get the word out a bit better. If you didn't go you missed a good time. Tacoma Sportsmans club is a big piece of property and the course was well spread out.

Thanks to all that attended. We are looking at moving the date of the shoot a little earlier next year. Attendance was down considerably from the previous years. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the shoot please PM me so I can pass it on. We woul really like to keep the Glenn St. Charles shoot alive as a tribute to a man who did so much for bowhunter and archers. Maybe some better coordination with TBW next year.
My six year old and I had a blast camping in that canvas tent and shooting.
Sorry but a young lady won the bow.

I went yesterday, got to see a friend's daughter get married today. Had a lot of fun shooting yesterday, couldn't beleive how small the turn out was. Hope more folks show up next year-it's a good time on a good course!

Probably vacation time...

I recall the old McChord AFB trad shoots which were held on January 1st, but they ended a few years ago. Attendance was always good despite the weather and timing.

Several of us have been waiting for a return of a New Year's Day shoot, so does this have a chance?
