Ok i need some input from others, What bowhunting magazine do you read. I currently subscribe to Traditional Bowhunter, but I'm looking for another magazine to read also.

I was thinking the same thing. Picked up a few tried and true magazines like Field and Stream. WAY to political and commercial now. I was appalled at the politics that it was pushing.
I'm not into the primitive stuff yet, so I will be watching this for some ideas.

Traditional Bowhunter is a must-read for me and I look forward to every issue. But I also like the RMEF magazine, Bugle, as well as Eastmans' Bowhunting Journal.

Don't forget about the new kid on the block(TRADARCHERS' WORLD),it gets better with each issue and Mr. Colstad is doing a fine job with it. I also really enjoy Traditional Bowhunter and Primitive Archer(have all the issues of both)!

Trad archers world,Trad bowhunter,Outdoor life, Feild and Stream,Bowhunter,Full Draw[New York Bowhunters], A Walk in the Woods [Comptons],Now and then Primative Archer,and any books that seem to be intresting.......some blackpowder stuff also.The old stand bys like Feild and Stream and Outdoor Life are not what they used to be. Oh, I forgot, Fur Fish and Game,and Deer and Deer Hunting also.I think I spend to much money on magazines. I won't even start on the Motorcycle magazines...........

Traditional bowhunter, Trad Archer's World, and Primitive Archer are the only hunting magazines I read on a regular basis. I got kind of sick of all the other bowhunting magazines. Too much horn-porn and I'm tired of reading "How to hunt the Rut". Occasionally I'll by an issue of Backwoodsman (often has trad archery articles) and Fur Fish and Game for the variety.

Guys one thing you might want do is to start to paying closer attention to your subscription renewals.I get several magazines and then give them away after I read them.I started receiving renewal forms from Outdoor Life about a month or so ago.I finally filled out a check on Monday and was going to mail it the following day.I just happened to be going through my old checks for income tax purposes on Monday afternoon.Lo and behold I came across an entry to Outdoor Life where I had sent in a check the last of July of 2009.Here it was just a little past mid January and I had already received quite a few renewals from Outdoor Life asking me to renew. I called them and asked if they received my check the last of July.The lady confirmed my payment in July.I asked then why am I getting another renewal? She said we always do that and we just extend your subscription.I felt like I had been led to believe my subscription had expired because I had just purchased a newsstand copy that day due to receiving all those renewal forms and I felt my subscription had expired and I would miss that issue due to sending my renewal in late.I guess I just need to pay more attention to those labels when the mags come in.Any way I still have 6 to 7 magazines due me on that July 2009 Outdoor Life subscription I paid for.I feel like some of these magazine companies are misleading people into renewing when it isnt necessary at that time.Traditional Bowhunter is one that has never used that approach that I can remember and I commend them for it.

Regular Departments: Letters from Readers I Knew That (Reader Tips) Predator Hunting -- this month " How pros pursue wolves,other predators deep into winter" Fish and Tackle The Gun Rack The Trapline Fur Market Report Antique Trap Collecting Trapline Calendar (Trapper events and gatherings) These are just some samples and there are sevealothers.Also there is something caled Operation Artic which appears to be an ongoing story of some sort.This month has Chapter XI.

Don't forget the Backwoodsman's Journal. They cover much of what Fur Fish and Game does, and also trad/prim archery topics too.
Traditional Bowhunter is THE best IMHO, when it comes to "just Trad archery". A real class act, great stories and articles, plus lots of tips.
