It seems that in todays world communication as well as commomn curtesy has gone out the window. When I deal with someone I like to communicate what I have done on my part of the deal as soon as it is done as well as acknowledge when I recieve what the other party has done. I had the great pleasure of dealing with a member from here just last week on a quiver;comunicated that I had sent payment via Priority mail and he was kind enough to package up the product and ship it the next day before recieving payment. Made my day that he trusted me. Some folks just don"t realize acknowledgement is a kind gesture.

Im with centaur, both in occupation and mindset. Without dishonest idiots, id be out of a job, and it is an awful shame that some of them filter into a site like this that is 99% great folks. Its always the 1%ers that mess it up.

The one and only time I've been stiffed, I started a custom order knife for a gun dealer in Germany. He agreed on a price, but I had to leave on a reassignment back to the states before I could finish it. When I had it done, I called and asked if he still wanted it at the agreed upon price. My wife was traveling back to Germany to visit family and she carried it with her. The guy offered her half the price we agreed on "because the market in hand made knives has fallen off". I told her not to let him have it even at double the agreed price and to bring it back. I still send stuff before payment arrives and others do the same for me. Makes me feel good about society and I figure being burned once is just a "heads up" not a reason to give up on other's goodness.

Jon, look at it this way. You did right. He did wrong.

That really sucks I hold TG in such high esteem with respect to the honor of fellow TGers everyone I have dealt with have been great. Sad that a person would take advantage of that and give nothing in return.

We can put an end to this for now. It happened. 99 1/2% of the people on here are OUTSTANDING. The owners have their hands full keeping and running a tight ship. It's just little crap like this that burns my tail.
