I have an affinity to green glass bows, and I'm in the market for a new ( or used) longbow. But I really want a grenoble glass bow, and I have looked at alot of websites but I do not see alot of green glass options. Can anyone tell me why this is?
I mean even Bear charges an extra $100 for their Kodiak.

I have found great northern, (out of my price range), Northern mist (top of my green glass list) and thats it. I saw on HH archery they had every color but green.

So will someone with more knowledge than me please explain.
Thank you and God Bles

Northern Mist And Great Norther Had a special run of the Green glass made. You can only get it from them.
I have a Northern Mist Classic That I love.
Both bowyers produce Top quality bows, and the Green glass is retro Cool for sure.

I posted yesterday on another thread that back in the 80s Green and Grey glass had the "Reputation " of giving bows faster cast ( Who knows reality )
ANY WAY I have several bows from that era made with Green Glass there were actually two shades one VERY dark ( almost looks black until you get close ) and one like a brighter "hunter " green both look great SHAME you cant get it regularly from all bowyers now . :-(

Herb Meland has some of the old green glass stashed away. I talked him into a bow with it. I love it.

Shedrock, who is Herb Meland? Bow company? How can you tease me so with that pic? Can you give me some specs since I'll be dreaming about it now!!! LOL
But seriously , that is the wood and limb glass I have dreamed up in my head except a one piece or two piece. Is that green dymondwood??

Green dymondwood on Shedrocks Pronghorn. A very dense and stable laminate many bowyers use for risers. It's density gives almost a recurve feel in weight. Considered very strong and perhaps a safer choice in riser material.

You can always tell laminates by it's quarter sawed appearance in the site window. Kind of a herringbone look.

Google dymondwood and you'll be over runneth. Every color you can imagine including multi colored.

To get green glass on a bow you are probably going to have to spend a bit of money. It is limited.
