Never used one, but my own thought is that it's just a very, very expensive pressure cooker, without the added benefit of a pressure release. Seems like a solution looking for a problem, to be honest.

I never used it either, but on watching the info-mercials,it wasn't very appetizing watching them steam cook a Javelina. I have had steam cooked meat,ONCE, but a Javi? No thanks.

there fun and easy to use. I have a 1/2 cream can. put corn on cob, cabbage, onions potatos and kauasba sausage and 6 beers. layer all then put the 6 beers in for liquid. Can use anything water, wine, coffee. put alum foil on top and poke holes in foil. Place on burner once stream starts coming out about 1/2 hour then done. Place in cooler and it will stay hot for about 4 hours.
