The day turned a little warmer as the sun came up and our coat came off but the temp stayed in the 70’s just beautiful weather. Here's a few more shot from Friday, Saturday and into Sunday.
Tommy with another head shot
And one that didn’t make it
And my attempt at one..
As stated earlier this event has an international draw and by Shane’s choice of clothing wear as the day warmed up led me to believe his ancestors are from Scotland...

Big Jim was there also and brought his store lol, and I had him put me a brown beaver tail grip on my Centaur Chimera (no good pic right now).

The Howard Hill Classic was great! Met some new friends, caught up with some old friends and just a great time. Here are just a few of the many photos my wife took while we were there. yes that is a "Robin Hood" that took place at the shoot, we were waiting to shoot when I heard that unmistakable sound. Looking forward to next year!

This shoot brings a lot of kindred spirit together and is a place where friends gather and new ones are made. While there I looked across the campground and the vendor area and spotted a familiar face I had seen only in stories from Primitive Archer and Traditional Bowhunter. Do you recognized this person?
Krista Holbrook...Later on we were honored to join her and Sterling in shooting a round and later they allowed us to get some group photos. Krista also is seen here making some of her Baskets, my wife has not forgiven me for not buying her one
Tommy shot and extra round with Krista and a guy from Alabama, Scott who is in the first pic with her. Scott is a very fine shot (sorry Scott I didn’t get your last name).
Sterling later on gave me some shooting pointers to help me hopefully overcome my Target Panic.
Them demons jumped on me so good while there that Tommy and Shane have decided I needed a new handle on Trad Gang. From now on you guy can refer to me as “TP Formerly Known As South MS Bowhunter”

Thanks John, I was just admiring yours also.
I can't take credit for mine, the wife mans the camera. I stay behind the bow. It is a very nice camera though. It is a Sony DSLR Alpha 55. It does take some beautiful pictures. You should see them before I shrink them to post!!!
Funny story, I missed high on that wolf also when I was shooting the one shot one kill round. Had just finished dialing in a set of Woodies that Pat Carter built for me. 850 grains out of my NM 83# longbow. The arrow sunk into that pine almost 2". They are tipped with a 190 grain point and a 75 grain woody weight behind that and both were completely buried and out of sight. It took nearly 5 minutes with a knife to carve the arrow out without losing the point or breaking the arrow!

In the photo above I dug a 2” circle around the arrow point and at least 1.5” or more deep my arrows were footed and that probably saved me from a lot more damage. I’m not that good of a shot as Shane and Tommy are those guys were like a 10 machine at times.
Chris,
Good to hear from you i’ll add another pic of you here...This one would make a good Avatar for you

This is Phillip (forgot your last name) every camp has it’s counselor and Phillip was there to make sure every question had an answer, thanks for all the advice.
One of my goals was to shoot over the week end and come back home with most of my arrows. This was almost accomplished up to the last round and the 3rd from the last target I had only broke one arrow when it glanced off a rock right at the edge of the footer and carbon. After the shot at the lion I decided I would pose for Tommy’s camera one last time...
Here I’m shooting buffalo from the back of the lion
I didn’t intend to shoot but it felt good to get back to full anchor so at the spur of the moment I thought I fire one into the ground. As you can see by the pic my lower limb is going to make contact with the lion ...and it did at the shot, never found that arrow
