I have had trouble shooting my longbow out of my ground blind this year and am considering getting a shorter bow. I have a 27" draw and am looking for something sub 60" AMO. In my price range I am considering the kohannah flatbow(58"), kohannah kurve (58"), and mahaska recurve (58"). I have shot a kohannah and loved it, but was wondering if anybody had any tips or recommendations? Any other brands to muddy the water with in the same price range? Thanks!

Kohannah is FF compatible Mahaska is not B50 Dacron only.
I had a Mahaska and loved it. Great hunting bow.

Id take a long hard look at a Kanati

Wild Horse Creek Mariah, 54" fifties style recurve.
I ordered it for shooting out of pop-ups but shoot it so well that I use it for everything now.
Super smooth draw and dead quiet.
I've owned both Mahaskas and Kohannahs, both are great bows, too.

If you like old school I would lean towards Mahaska, if performance is your thing Kohannah. I have had both and would buy again if the right bow came up in my specs.

not to downplay Mahaska or Kohanna but there are some seriously nice bows here with our sponsors in that same price range!

I bought a Kohanna at Kalamazoo a few years ago. I went there to try out as many bows as I could and fell in love with this little longbow. I shot it very well as soon as I started flinging arrows with it. It was cheaper than what I had expected to spend. It has been abused since I have owned it and I can say it is very durable and is still one of my favorites. Don't have any experience with Mahaska but I can tell you I have been very happy with my Kohanna purchase.
