I am about to purchase a quiver for new tall tines , i have never shoot with one attached to bow always used selway hip quiver with belt over my shoulder and would hang it in tree once in stand. I am curious if most prefer the slide on limbs or strap on limbs for both convenience and stability. Also a quiver with deep enough pocket so as to completely protect and cover broad heads.

Great Northern strap on. You don't need to unstring the bow to remove it also it fits all limb profiles. My thick core Super D bows work best with this quiver.

I prefer a strap on type for the reason posted above. Also the strap on can usually adjust for different limbs witdth's more easily (recurve vs long bow) I like those eagle's flight 3 arrow quivers. They are very light almost like having no quiver attached.

I am also trying to find a quiver for my Bear Grizzly. The bow has inserts for a screw in quiver, so I have been looking for a screw in mount. Any one use Bear screw in quivers?
Not trying to hijack thread, but figured there was already one going.

Pryor, I use a Thunderhorn screw in side mounted quiver on my Bears. Works great. Had them dye them to match the color of my bows.

I have had a Great Northern before, but I much prefer the Kanati that I have now. It's well made, solid, and you won't find an better person to deal with.

I have GN, BJ and GFA all strap-on's. I removed the slide-on's I used to use. I find they all work equally well.
