Well may be trading my beloved 59 kodiak for a wesley special tomorrow. Anyone have experience with em? I haven't shot my kodiak since I got my super d. Not sure how similar these asl's will be to each other. It's marked 46 Pounds at 26" and is 66" long which sounds perfect for me

Grips will be a bit different but I have shot both. I liked them both and still have the Hill.

I have a Wesley Special that I have owned for several years--one of my most favorite longbows.
-
No experience with the Kodiac but many years experience with the Wesley. It is my favorite bow of all time.

Jon, when you get the Wesley special, I'll be very interested to hear a comparison between it and the Super D. How old is your Super D? It underwent a slight limb mod in 05/15

I've shot both and liked them both. The grip on the Super D was a little small for my liking, so I tried a Wesley Special and really like it. The Super D was 7lbs heavier so that could've had something to do with which way I went. The Super D had zero hand shock and my WS has a slight thump. Both great bows.

I guess I'm the outsider, traded for a Wesley Special years ago. To me, it was like shooting a fence post, made my teeth rattle. re-traded it.
