Title: New to Shed Hunting in Idaho
Post by: ProAlpine on March 29, 2016, 09:33:00 PM: When do the bulls typically shed in the mountain west (Idaho)? I've never gone out with the purpose of shed hunting - more I've just stumbled upon them. I see lots of elk wintering on the south slopes and would assume this is the area they have dropped their sheds... any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been seeing some whitetails still with antlers. Haven't seen any sheds in the woods.

I'd love to get out soon for a rove and shed hunt, but I'm slammed with work and what little time off I want spend with the family... someday soon!

saw one spike bull with about 15 cows.
Nice white antlers about 2ft long.

where u live in idaho ?
