Title: popup blind ???
Post by: stack on October 27, 2016, 09:47:00 AM
So what type of chair do you use? I have a Barronett grounder 350 and if I use a bag chair I cannot see out the windows. I am only 5'5" and really don't want to haul a bar stool out in the woods. What is your chair of choice? I have tried the double bull chair and the same problem.

Huntmore 360. heavy and expensive, but built like a tank, dead silent, and highly adjustable.

I'll second every thing johnnyk71 says. I've used a Huntmore 360 for 5 years now.

I haven't forked out the cash for the huntmore yet but may someday...till then I'll use the cabelas 360 blind chair.  It's heavy but comfortable and think I pd 90 bucks

Exactly where do you buy huntmore chairs?

My opinion is get a Millennium G100 ground blind chair and you will throw rocks and all the others, including the huntmore. And yes, I have owned a Huntmore and most of the other popular blind chairs.

Have a Huntmore and a Millennium 100.   Both are bulky and heavy, but very comfortable and quiet. I prefer the Millennium. Sets up faster and a bit quieter.

I make my on chair bases out of a square piece of flat steel and square tubing for the legs. Then I mount a swiveling boat seat from the local outdoor store on the base. They are awesome, inexpensive chairs, and you can make them however you want them. I have made them with solid legs, and with adjustable height legs.

Dig the ground out a little were the front two corners sit and the blind drops right down. Only takes a few minutes at setup using a small garden trowel or anything light like that depending on the soil. A lot cheaper then a exspensive chair to!

Several tricks just think it through.   :bigsmyl:

The older Baronette blinds had high windows. I used a bungee cord hooked to the bottom of the window and anchored to a ground stake. Pulling the window into a vee shape. Problem solved.
Just bought a new Baronette that has much lower windows.

There are so many pop up blinds in one public chunk that it is starting to look like a campground.  Most of them have Walmart lawn chairs in them.
