For those of you who shoot 3 under which tab do you prefer. I was gettin ready to purchase a bateman but read in the reviews that they were a bit oversized. I know some people really swear by the black widow tabs. Which do you guys prefer and is there a preference between calf hair or leather for the tab face?

Check out Eagle's Flight Archery, they are a sponsor here. They are very well made, and very cheap for the quality. I went to his site just now,and they only show cordovan. I've got a calf hair three under, but he may have quit offering it. I guess you could call and ask,but it looks like he still offers the cordovan in both three under and split. I'm still trying to like a tab,but can't quite get it down.

I make my own, but would get cordovan if I could. Lasts for a long time...probably lose it before it wears out. You can trim any tab you buy.

The tab i use now is homemade as well. Alexander, did you shoot glove before tab? Ive considered a glove and shooting 3 under but havent tried a good glove, just the cheap stiff neet gloves

I've always shot a glove, and just loved the idea of a tab,but just can't make it work. It just feels strange to me,like my fingers aren't independent of one another.
I've recently gone to three under, and love it. I shoot a Neet calf hair glove. They are cheap and the best release i've had with a glove.

I may have to try that one out. Ive tried a couple of the plain neet gloves but never liked how i couldnt feel a good anchor due to the thickness of the leather at the end of the tips

I use the Bateman 3-under tab. I find all of the tabs I've tried are a bit long for me and I think they are made that way on purpose so you can trim them to the length you need.
I use a deep hook and trim the length back until it no longer slaps me on the lip at release. Very scientific :)

I like the three under Bateman tabs better than the Black Widow tab, or any other glove or tab I've tried.
The elastic strap that goes around your middle finger is easily adjustable and comfortable.
It can easily be spun to the back of you hand so it you can use your fingers for other things, but can have it back in shooting position in an instant.
I find I can wear it over a wool liner glove and shoot just fine.
The Bateman cordovan tab works for me no matter the weather or bow I'm shooting. It's the one thing in my setup I can't see ever changing.

I like the Rod Jenkins Safari Tuff cordovan tab

X3 on the Safari Tuff.

Safari Tuff for me.

I have two of the Safari Tuffs. They are nice.
My preference though is a Cavalier Elite. It is a split finger but I shoot it 3-under. Just don't use the finger splitter or the chin rest. I've been shooting the same one, without changing the cordova yet. I have a spare. I had to trim the outer edges to just fit my fingers.

Black Widow calf hair...I always randomly order 1 or 2 just so I have them

" it just feels strange to me, like my fingers aren't independent of one another". Umm... that's what I like about a tab.
