i recently decided to try me some woodies for my new bear 59 i tried elite and he said he could not accomidate my 31 inch draw so i called rose city archery and they said the could get me fixed up now my question is me not really having much exp with woodies they said i need a 60/65 spine 11/32 shaft 32 inches long for my 43# @ 31 does this sound right to you guys ?

What weight heads do you want to shoot, and what string is on it? 60/65 @ 31", with a 125 grain point, will give you a dynamic spine of 50/55, which sounds about right.

Sounds about right to me.
Rose city shafts are normally 32 inches long. The point taper is usually an inch so that leaves about 31 inches back of point, plus maybe 1/4-inch that the nock adds to overall length. That's cutting it pretty close. If your draw is truly 31, you won't have any problems with field points, but you may be drawing broad heads into your bow hand index finger.
This is moot, of course, if Rose City just makes you some longer arrows, say bare shaft length of 32 1/2 or 33.

Sounds pretty close. If it were me, I'd go 5# less in spine weight and stiffen the arrow back by cutting it. But it seems that you don't have the luxury of cutting the shaft down a bit. You may want to have some slightly heavier points on-hand than the standard 125 grain heads but otherwise, I think you're pretty close.

I always try and error on the high side with wood. Heavier points are easy to come by if you miss high, not much remedy if you miss on the weak side, but give them to your old buddy Brad.

125 grain was what i was wanting to shoot

I understand your concern. That may sound like a heavy spine but that is a long shaft and requires more spine. If you gave them your draw weight and length you will be good. Rose City knows what they are doing. I have a long draw length also and it requires stiffer arrows. Good luck Ken

That sounds about right, I would suggest Hildebrand spruce shafts if you are looking for light weight. Cedar you will break ALOT.
If you don't mind more weight then surewood douglas fir is the most durable without going into hardwoods which are a pain.
