I got some from Magnus when he was still doing it. I think Eckterling makes them now. I used mine as four fletch and liked them.

I have Magnus' old chopper. It's a low profile 4" banana.

Yep, I have been getting 4" bananas from Josh for a year or so . I 4 fletch my arrows and I really like the low profile of them along with the stability. I won't get feathers from anyone else!!

I've just gone to a burner for most of my fletching and can do any shape or size that way. I burn my bananas at 4 1/2"

Want.
I hope this is still a good site, I've had mine for
Years.

For me the advantages of a banana feather is the visibility of the arrow in flight. I shoot bright yellow fletching, and I LOVE to watch the "ball of yellow" speed toward the target.

Banana's probably slow your arrow down slightly compared to Parabolics, or Shield, but I doubt its by much.
I in my experience banana's can make more noise then other feathers.
Over the years, I have shot all types of feather cuts, right now it's 3 X 5.5" banana's. I've always wanted to try 4" banana's and now I have found a source.

BearPaw in Germany has also a cutter for bananas. Im thinking of getting one for myself in 5" banana(saubuckel)  https://shop.bearpaw-products.com/WebshopB2C/Bearpaw_Feather_Shark_Cutter/P-3822/1?Origin=Navigator

I've modified my Little Chopper from 3 Rivers to make Banana's shorter than the 5" it comes in. I took flat leather shoe laces that are a hair over 1/8" wide and used contact cement to glue them against the bottom shelf. This moves the base of the feather up, shortening them. Just layer the laces til you get the length you want. It could be done with anything that reaches across the base and the chopper can cut. The contact cement holds the laces in, but is easy to remove if you want to make them longer again.

You can use your normal banana fletcher to chop shorter, lower profiles by adding a piece of cardboard to the cutting tray
