Title: Fletch glue for vanes on wood arrows?
Post by: The Ursus on November 05, 2007, 06:08:00 PM
I know, I know, feather look so much better.  But it just ain't happen'n here in our rain forest!  So I'm look'n for a glue that will stick to plastic vanes on wood arrows.  I've been using Helmsman Spar Urathane for shaft sealer but can be persuaded to switch if need be.  Any suggestions?

Duco cement works really good. Thats what I use to put feathers on spar varnish, and I use it to put vanes on aluminums, too--so naturally I assume it will work for vanes to spar.

I think I'll try Duco on a test shaft and see what happens.  I just wasn't sure how Duco would be on plastic.  Fletch tape hasn't been working. I'll post again if I find something that works.
