I am starting on a new project (and new section) for my personal (non-comercial) website. For those of you who have visited it you've noticed/viewed the special sections on Art, Covered Bridges, etc. This new section will be set up similarly and be called "Traditional Bows Drawn". Oh, I know there have been, and are, a lot of pics of you (all of you) on forums and in Avatars, from time to time, Drawing your bows and/or shooting them, and I have even pulled a few but I would prefer mostly new ones. That's it - a picture of you (and you, and you, and, yes, even you over there in the corner) drawing your favorite (or other) bow, that I may place in this new section on my web site. I want other folks to share in what I consider the beauty of the Drawn Bow, and the diversity of the Archers who draw them. So, that means, of course, you may also send pictures of your children, spouses, parents, girl/boy friends - as long as they are in the act of drawing the bow. Remember, that is the subject, "Traditional Bows Drawn"(to include from selfbows to the newest DAS, etc. I will not separate or clasify them in any way). They do not have to be anything special - or they may be - as long as you would like them to be included in this pictorial. I have a few ideas but basically those are for the setting up of the section - not so much for the pictures. I already have some on my web site in the Gallery Pages - and I might even use some of them - but again I would prefer new ones. I don't mean you need to go out and take a new pic (unless you care to) but just one that you may not have posted before. I would like you to e-mail them to me (not monstorously big please, or tiny either). It will be nice if they are JPEG images, as they e-mail more swiftly, but if not I will convert them. Please do not post them here. My e-mail is in my bio and/or it is [email protected] I do know this, there will be one picture definitely included and perhaps even the very first one and that will not be a new one - it will be the picture of Manny, of Hawaii, pulling one of his Guava selfbows while squatting on a piece of tree stump, as it planted the seed for this project and is a beauty. Another may be one of me, backlit with the image of the tree behind my tower (now in my Galleries), as a lot of folks said they really liked it. The rest will be determined by what I receive from you, and what I can use. Thank you for reading this. Who knows, this project may just help keep me young ;) . Starting now, no deadline - :knothead: .

Sounds like a lot of fun, Bernie. I emailed you a couple you might like, even if you can't use them.
-
I have my first respondees, Thanks, shawnee (great pics). Now let's watch it grow. I will let y'all know when I get the beginning of the New Section posted.
-
I already am getting responses (don't be the last on your block) and i am so enthused with it I have been busy working on it all eve and may have the beginnings up on my site very soon (like perhaps even tomorrow -
)
-
Well, believe it or not - the start is ready to go and look at and I will be adding more pics as I get them (I already have more coming in even as we speak :D ) Ah'm suh happy about the early response tuh this y'all.
Ok - I'm gonna put the URL to my extensive web site of stories and pics here (check it out and go often - there's lots to see). When you click on the link it will take you to my Index page (please Bookmark it or put it in your Favorites - trust me you'll want to return). When you get there look in the menu near the top of that page and you will see the title of "Traditional Bows Drawn" and a little "New" logo beside it, click on that to go to the special sections "Cover Page" (or index), After you read that intro, at the bottom of the page you will find the link to the gallery pages, starting with page one. Some great pics already up and I gotta go do some more now, "Bye" :p

Bernie,
I just sent you one that should be quite a contrast next to manny.
-
Yep - you got that right, Chad. The diversity sure makes for added interest, as I thought it might. I put up some pics on Row Three just now. I put 6 pics to a row and ten rows on my gallery pages, so 60 pics to a page. Lots of spaces open and then we'll do another page, etc. Fortunately I have a free, unlimited space from my site host and he says it will never change. Well, "never" is a long time but they have been true to their word about 7 or 8 years now, and I hope it keeps up. He feels my site adds to his site - I hope it continues too. Don't miss this y'all - it's lookin' pretty fair, if I do say so myself.
-
4 rows of pics now in two days - better check 'em out - might see a friend of yours :archer:

I sent ya an email Bernie!
-
Got it, Chad - a good'un. I really am getting good ones. Course everyone knew I loved bows anyway and now the know I love to see them at their full (Draw) potential - Thank you to all responding and to all (235 hits in 24 hrs) visiting the web site and new section. Don't stop - posting more pics daily (or more often right now
). Keep 'em comin, please.
-
I just sent you mine vie email.
I like the concept. The pics are very cool.
-
Thanks, Mike. I will be posting some more (including yours) sometime this afternoon.
-
Good stuff Bernie !!! Best Regards...Chuck and Cal
-
So good to hear from you, friend. Chris would like you to e-mail when you can.
-
Added about 8 more pics this AM - is yours among those additions??? Nope I know yours isn't - nor you either, over there grinning sheepihly! (157 more hits since yesterday - lots of folks seeing them - :D )
-
Still "cooking" but it saddens me some that I don't have your picture yet :wavey: .
-
My intentions are to make this an ongoing project and I am continuing to watch my e-mails for your full draw pics. Please send them any time you come up with one, even if the notice isn't up at the time.
-
Tomorrow AM we will be moving on to Page Two of the new Traditional Bows Drawn section of my web page. That means over 60 great pics of drawn bows from our friends in less than a week - as I recall. Thanks so much and don't stop now!
-
Nice job Bernie, I've really been enjoying the pics. One small correction tho with the photos I have contributed. Regarding Linc (start of page 2) - Linc in Lincoln Farr and he was our host at the Deerslayers Shoot (Oswego, New York). So, while he is not exactly a friend of my family, he is a friend and member of the family known as Tradgang.

Thanks, Linda. I wondered about that but decided since it didn't look like the one pic I've seen of Linc (He is also a "tight" cyber-friend of mine) it probably was not him - LOL. Funny part is I had juist bugged him yesterday to get on the stick and send me one. He told me it would be awhile, as he had mashed a finger and didn't dare try to draw a bow right now. So this is a good correction and I will get it entered before this day is over. Linc is a good and generous friend on here, for sure. Thanks again.
-
Two "Special" rows of six on page two now - you really need to check those folks out IMO. :saywhat:
-
Got about 16 more pics to post in the next couple days - Even some from Holland - and the hits are still heavey on my site (from this new section mostly) - 85 in the last 24 hrs. Thanks, y'all and we'll keep it rolling. I'm also going to see to it that I take more Full Draw pics when I get the opportunities in the coming year(s).
-
Trust me on this: You don't want to miss Row Six of Page Two :knothead:
(or any of the other rows for that matter -
)
-
Still waiting for a lot of my friends to send pics (and a lot of friends I don't yet know ;) ). There are 94 there to gander at now though - :saywhat: .
-
Since I first posted that new section (10 days ago) there have been 714 hits on my web site that normally averages about 3 to 7 hits per day (except when I've posted something new and for about 3 days). So I know folks are finding interest in it, as I do. Also a few new signatures on the Guestbook. Thanks y'all.
-
Just emailed you a picture, Bernie.
Great website!!!
-
Happy to do it Bernie, sure have enjoyed all of you'r pics and the Trad Bows Drawn page is awesome!
-
Bless you guys. Looking forward to what I know is a great one from you BodarkOkie.
Moving to Page Three, even as we speak. Bodark's granddaughter may be firstest with the mostest there :p ;) Are You There???
-
In 21 days (since I first posted the new section to my web site) I have had 1,296 visitors (before it would have been about 105 or so in that time span). You (and your special bow) really should be there - and we'd love to see you!

My main Canadian connection (friend, Harl) came through big time after a weekend get-together and we have jumped all the way down to next to last row on Traditional Bows Drawn, Page 3 - and Page 4 is already set to go for submissions also.

Would you believe? The response (and visits) have been so unprecedented, I only need two more pictures to finish off Page 4 of the Full Draws. That'll mean 240 Traditional Bows Drawn. Then it will be on to Page 5, which is already set up to accept more pics. Thanks to all.

Hey Bernie...
I will try to send you a couple of pics today.
-
Glad to hear that, Dina. I was just thinkin' yesterday that I hadn't got yours and Tom's yet. I'll be watching for them.
We're awfully close to moving on to Page 7 - BTW
-
Only two more pics (after I post one this AM) on Row Ten, Page10, before we stagger on to Page11. With 60 Full Draw pics per page, that is a staggering 600 Full Draw pics (Traditional Bows Drawn section) to eyeball.

Hey Bernie, here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/madness522/Hpim1029.jpg) is a pic of me at full draw. Meant to get it to ya sooner but sometimes I'm slacker than I want to be. Barry
-
Got'cha, Barry. Thanks, I appreciate it, and if you send or post some bow stats I'll stick them in there, when I get 'em, too.
-
Cool! That one is a Brack Quest #50@28 60" long and I was shooting in my first 3d shoot.
