Title: best rest for hoyt gamemaster

i just bought a #45 hoyt gamemaster and would like input on the best rest for this bow. i am used to shooting off the shelf, but that wont work with this bow. thanks!

Your right, it wont. And believe me, I tried hard. I dont know what the best rest is, but I bought a simple flipper rest, and so far its worked quite well. The game master just needs somthing to get it up off that shelf and its good to go.

The shop I work at sells Gamemasters, and you can shoot them off the self, but you either have to use the stock rug or build one up with a 2219 or something there of cut in half and made to fit the self. Just a idea. But a NAP center shot or a cavilier plunger and lizard tounge will work too.

NAP centershot? Do you mean center rest? The NAP Center rest Flipper is the one I am using. I tried building the shelf up and out but still couldnt get good arrow flight without a rest.

I shoot mine off the shelf with no problems whatsoever. I use adhesive backed leather behind the rug rest to shim it out a bit. Shoots great and is very accepting of several arrow spines. In fact, I found this bow easier to tune off of the shelf than many of my wood recurves.
